K-Swiss has teamed up with Heal the Bay again for yet another footwear collaboration. Heal the Bay is a non-profit organization dedicated to making the coastal waters and watersheds of Los Angeles safe – to create a new style.

Shown above, the K-Swiss x Heal the Bay Aquarium Friends Classic VN is inspired by Heal the Bay’s aquarium located at the Santa Monica pier. Designed specifically for kids, the shoe celebrates the educational efforts of the Heal the Bay Aquarium, a place where children can learn about our local ecosystem and become ambassadors for protecting our oceans.  In collaboration with artist and passionate advocate himself, Matthew Langille, the teams have created an octopus and seahorse themed graphic inspired by the most popular animals at the aquarium on K-Swiss’ most popular shoe, the Classic.  The shoe also features innovative and sustainable materials to reduce our impact on the environment. These features include the 100% recycled ocean plastic linings and polyester laces, milguard reprocessed fishing net counters and toe box, and sockliner crafted from recycled foam.

The -Swiss x Heal the Bay Aquarium Friends Classic VN drops on September 17th, they will be available on KSwiss.com and will retail for $60 for children (ages 4-8) and varsity (ages 8-12).  All proceeds from the sales of the shoes will go to support Heal the Bay.
