Converse is currently having a special pop-up event that will be taking place today and tomorrow (July 10th and 11th) to celebrate the iconic One Star silhouette.

The One Star comes to life in Los Angeles, an epicenter of global street culture, where self-expression has been notoriously democratized for decades. Taking over the streets of LA, The Rated One Star Donut Joint presents a One Star twist on a storied late night, early morning establishment. Offering a glimpse into the ’90s attitude that helped define the sneaker, the Rated One Star Donut Joint is a manifestation of where the sneaker has been and how it is being adopted globally today.

The popup of intersecting digital, product and live experiences will serve as the playground for uniting LA’s sneaker, skate, fashion and music communities with access to newly-released and re-released versions of Converse’s most coveted One Stars.

The two-day experience will also feature performances from Trinidadian rapper Theophilus London, Drummer-DJ Roofeeo, LA-based actress and hip-hop DJ Orange Calderon, A$AP Mob affiliates J. Scott and A$AP Lou of Cozy Boys, Brooklyn-born R&B DJ Kitty Cash, and hip-hop producer Drewbyrd. If you’re in the LA area and would like to check it out for yourself, The Rated One Star Donut Joint is located at 7507 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046, and will be open to the public on July 10-11, 2018 from 12 pm – 6pm today and 12pm – 8pm tomorrow.
