Vans SK8-Hi

Today we get a first look at the A Tribe Called Quest x Vans Collection that was announced way back in November of 2017. Set to release next month, the collection pays tribute to the style, art, music, and originality of the artist’s immense cultural influence since the early 1990s. The collection will include footwear designs inspired by their iconic album artwork as well as their timeless and lively song lyrics that will forever be staples of ’90s hip-hop.

The A Tribe Called Quest x Vans Collection will include the Vans Slip-On, Old Skool, Authentic, Sk8-Hi, Era and the new UltraRange. The shoes will use bold colors and prints to display the group’s most favorite milestones of their career.

The Slip-On comes with an upper displaying the cover artwork from A Tribe Called Quest’s 2016 album, We Got It From Here… Thank You 4 Your Service, with embroidery of the album title.

The Vans Era features an all-over graphic print of album covers spanning from 1990 to 2016.

The design of the Vans Old Skool is based on The Anthology album artwork as it comes dressed in a Black on Black colorway.

The Vans Sk8-Hi pays tribute to the classic and timeless Bonita Applebum track with album artwork and printed lyrics on the laces, quarter panels and lining.

The Vans Authentic honors the life of the late Phife Dawg, who passed away in 2015.

The Vans UltraRange features Black leather upper with a contrasting Red sidestripe.

The A Tribe Called Quest x Vans Collection will release on April 6th in adult, kids and toddler sizes. Prices will range from $37 to $85. Ahead of its global launch, House of Vans Brooklyn will hold a two-day pop-up event for early access on March 30th and 31st.
