This week’s #ArtonFire was one of #TeamKoF favorites of all time, with talented sneaker artists dominating our timeline all night long! For us, it was a night of ‘firsts’ - starting with the influx of paintings we received of Lebron James LOL. While we typically receive sketches of his shoes, it’s pretty rare that we are sent a portrait. This week we had 16.
It was also the first time we had a guest host join us online during Sunday’s #ArtonFire segment. Kicks on Fire was lucky enough to have well-known and respected sneaker artist Freehand Profit in the building, giving his feedback on some of the Twitter submissions. He had a contribution of his own, with this new set of masks.
Paying homage to one of the most legendary and influential hip-hop groups of all time, this new collection is dedicated to the one and only, Wu-Tang Clan. As expected, all three masks are done in the Wu’s infamous ‘killer bee’ colorway; Black / Yellow. Three silhouettes were used to create this set: a pair of Air Jordan Spizike iDs, a pair of Nike Dunk Hi’s in Black & Maize and the Air Jordan Retro “Thunder 4s”.
Scroll through the gallery to see who Freehand picked as his Top 10 for this week’s #ArtonFire, and join us next Sunday at 4:30PM PST to discover some new artists on the scene!
